Privacy Policy

This policy describes the small amount of information Oviedo Residents Directory may process and the controls visitors can use. Visitors do not create an account, and personal public records are not stored here. The directory instead points to records and collections held by the City of Oviedo, Seminole County offices, Florida agencies, libraries, and archives. Information submitted to an outside search provider is governed by that provider's terms and privacy policy.

Details You Choose to Provide

When a visitor enters a name, telephone number, or street address in a search box, that query goes to the outside company that supplies the results. Oviedo Residents Directory does not keep its own copy of the query on its servers. If you send a message through the contact channel, we receive the details you decide to include. Those details are used to answer the message, handle a related request, or address a site problem.

Technical Information Collected Automatically

Ordinary web-hosting logs can contain an Internet Protocol address, browser and device type, requested page, referring page, and date or time of access. We may review this information in aggregate to find errors, protect the service, and see which resources are useful. Cookies or similar tools may be used for basic traffic analysis or advertising measurement when those features are active. Browser settings can generally block or remove cookies, though doing so may affect outside tools.

Purposes for Using Information

Available information is used to run the site, diagnose faults, measure general traffic, respond to messages, prevent abuse, and improve Oviedo resource pages. We do not build individual visitor profiles or sell lists of site visitors. A search provider, analytics service, advertiser, or linked government portal may use information under its own policy, so visitors should review that policy before submitting personal details.

Privacy on Linked Services

Links may lead to the Seminole County Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller, Seminole County Property Appraiser, City of Oviedo, Florida agencies, libraries, archives, and outside search services. Once you leave this domain, the receiving site's privacy policy controls its collection and use of information. Sponsored search results are provided by a third party. Review that provider's terms before sending a name, phone number, address, payment detail, or identity document.

Parties That May Process Data

Companies that host, secure, maintain, measure, or advertise the service may process the limited technical information needed for their work. The outside results provider receives information entered into its search interface. We may disclose information when required by a valid subpoena, court order, or other lawful process, or when reasonably needed to protect the service and its users. We do not disclose visitor information merely because a private party asks for it.

Safeguards and Retention

An encrypted connection helps protect information while it travels between a visitor and the site. Access to operational systems is limited, and logs are retained only as long as reasonably needed for security, maintenance, legal compliance, and the purposes described above. No online system is risk-free. Because Oviedo Residents Directory has no visitor accounts, it does not hold a site password or an account profile for you.

Visitors Under Age 18

This service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly request or collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor sent personal information may use the Contact page to identify the message. After reasonable verification, we will remove information held by us when appropriate.

Your Florida Privacy Choices

Rights to review, correct, delete, or obtain website-held personal data depend on the law that applies to the visitor and the organization processing the information. Florida's Digital Bill of Rights, Fla. Stat. §§501.701-501.722, gives covered consumers certain access, correction, deletion, portability, and opt-out rights against covered controllers. Its definitions and thresholds determine whether a particular right applies. Since this site keeps little visitor data, a request will usually concern contact correspondence or an available server log. Submit it through the Contact page with enough detail to locate the record.

That consumer statute does not erase a deed, parcel card, court index, voter file, or other government record. Florida's public-record framework comes from Fla. Const. art. I, §24 and Fla. Stat. ch. 119, including §§119.01 and 119.07. Statutory exemptions, including protected-address classes under §119.071, remain with each custodian. Requests to inspect, correct, redact, or protect an Oviedo or Seminole County source record must go to the office that holds it. Eligible domestic-violence or stalking victims may also use Florida's Address Confidentiality Program under Fla. Stat. §§741.401-741.465.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

Revisions will be published on this page so visitors can review the current terms before using the service. Continued use after an update takes effect indicates acceptance of the revised policy. Material changes may also be noted more prominently when appropriate.
